Solfege — sight-singing and ear training practice Solfege is a free browser tool for reading music, training your ear and keeping time. It has four exercises and a metronome, and needs no account, no install and no microphone — the app never listens to you.

Sight-singing practice — generate melodies, scales and arpeggios as staff notation, set the key, range and tempo, loop any phrase between two points, and sing the line back.

Interval ear training — hear two notes, ascending, descending or played together, and name the interval between them.

Chord progression ear training — hear a short progression of chords in a key and identify each one by roman numeral, from the I–IV–V foundation out to the full diatonic vocabulary.

Melodic dictation — hear a melody you cannot see, write it down on an editable staff, and have every note marked right or wrong when you reveal the answer.

Metronome and drum machine — up to three chained sections, each with its own tempo, beats, subdivisions and accents, or a programmable grid of kick, snare, hi-hat and ride.
